Elto Gango 48hr Anaerobic Natural, Bensa
The word Elto translates to something akin to abundance. So it's fitting that this release from Sidama Bensa-based processing duo, Eliyas Dukamo and Atiklit Dejene, offers one of the most generous Ethiopian coffees we've ever tasted.
That density of flavour is no accident. This selection of the Geisha-esque 74158 varietal grown by smallholders in Gango Village is given the royal treatment. After hand-harvesting and cleaning a red carpet of cherry is laid out on raised beds re-sorting to guarantee uniform ripeness.
The chosen cherries are then fermented in sealed barrels for 48 hours before being spread out in very thin layers for bed drying over 21 days.
Fragrant, refined and exceptional - find a bouquet of neroli and cedar, suceeded by a palate of litchi, melon and mango, with blueberry, rose and a finish of lemonade & muscat that lasts forever.

When will my order ship?
📆 All online orders are typically shipped on Wednesday each week to ensure we get the freshest available stock to you. This means anything ordered by midnight on Tuesday is guaranteed to ship on Wednesday, orders placed after this will ship by the following Wednesday at the latest. In some cases, items may ship sooner if we have fresh stock available.
🗺 Arrival depends on where you're based —within Johannesburg orders will often arrive the day after you receive tracking information, other major centres will usually receive orders 2 days after you get a tracking number in your inbox, outlying areas may take up to 3 days.
💫 We ship free to all of South Africa on orders over R849, for orders below this value a R85 delivery fee will be included at Checkout.
You can also opt for a store pickup at our Kramerville Roastery or Rosebank Cafe, just select this option at Checkout. We'll send you a "ready to collect" notification as soon as your order is, well, ready to collect.
🌍 We offer international shipping on all orders under 2kg (that's safely 6 boxes of coffee) Unfortunately, the South African postal service is infamous for being the total opposite of a vibe so our int'l shipping is handled via Aramex or DHL. This means that int'l shippings fees are a little steep, but you'll get your coffee in record time and will be able to track it all the way to your door.
🛫 To view shipping rates for your country, simply follow the usual process people follow when shopping online (fill a cart, proceed to checkout, and enter your address & contact deets). Easy peasy.
If shipping options do not load, it means we don't currently offer shipping to your country or region. Be sure to mail us so we can fix that.
NB: some import duties may be applicable on arrival depending on your country's policies.
